Beavers Once Again Get Blown Out on National TV - (Penn State Photos)

9-8-2008 - The Oregon State Beavers went into Beaver Stadium and got their tales slapped by the tough running of the Penn State Nittany Lions. Once again the Beavers were on national tv, at an eastern school and got embarrassed on national tv 45-14. The Beavers were never in this game, trailing by 21 points in the first quarter. By halftime the score was 35-7 and Penn State had already started to sit down most of their starters. The Beavers managed only one more scoring drive in the second half and were never close to be a threat and lost their second in a row in a game that could have been much much worse.

The Beavers now face the fact that if they cannot get their defense working on the same page, they could very easily be 0-5 with Hawaii, USC at home and nationally ranked Utah on the road in their next three games.

There really is not much more to say about this embarrassing lose on national tv. They could not tackle, they could not stop the run, they could not stop the pass, they could not stop Penn State.

The only bright side was the emergence of Quizz Rodgers as a star running back with 99 yards rushing. Now the rest of the team needs to step up and play or this will be a very long season.
