WE BELIEVE! - IT'S CIVIL WAR WEEK! SO LET THE TRASH TALKING BEGIN!

11-24-2008 - Here we are again. It's Civil War week in Oregon and both sides are amped up for another chapter of the greatest rivalry in college football. So I start this Civil War week with mans best friend telling the story of how all things should be. Grab the Ducks by the throat and shake them till you snab their necks. Good Dog!

But seriously, (I think I just was) this will be a great week for the State of Oregon sports scene. Two good teams going at it with a lot on the line. The crowd will be a record at Reser for sure and if they are not trying to figure out how to get more people into that stadium this weekend then they are missing the boat.

They say they will probably never finish the west side of Reser Stadium as it will not add any seats and cost to much to do. Ok, well at least finish the south end zone by adding the upper deck and I have a plan in mind to redo the south endzone to add more seats and also add the scoreboard to that end. That alone should bring the place to 52,000 seats if not more and would be so loud, man oh man it would be awesome.

Back to the game. The famous Platypus Trophy is on the line this week as well as a possible berth to the big dance for the Beavers with the win over Oregon. This is the first time since the 2000 season that so much was on the line for both teams and the first time since 1964 that the Beavers are in line for the Rose Bowl with one game left to play. As a Beaver Fan all I can say is "WE BELIEVE!". You can do it Beavs! You have thousands of Beaver fans across the nation cheering for you to accomplish this task at hand. So let's go get it done.
