Beavers Men's and Women's Basketball Starts This Sunday Nov. 2nd

10-30-2008 - The Oregon State Men's and Women's basketball programs start their 2008-2009 seasons this Sunday with exhibition games. The Women will start this year off at 3pm with a game against Lewis & Clark College. The men will follow that game at 5:30 with an exhibition game against Saint Martin's. It will the first chance us beaver fans will have to see the all new men's basketball team and new head coach Criag Robinson.

As many of you know the men's team set records last year for being bad. The first ever winless season by a pac-10 conference team going 0-18 in conference and 6-25 overall. An Oregon State and PAC-10 record losing streak and many other less then notable things. The women's program is also coming off a subpar year going 14-17 overall and 4-14 in the PAC-10.

I guess we will see this Sunday if the coaches for both teams can start to get these two programs back on the right track. It would be nice to a good crowd there on a Sunday afternoon to support both teams.
