BEAVERS WIN EMERALD BOWL 21-14!

12/28/2007 - Bernard rushes for 177 yards and Rogers added 115 yards on 15 carries and 40 receiving yards as the Beavers overcome 3 turnovers and an injury to Lyle Moevao to Beat Maryland. The Beavers defense held Maryland to 224 total yards and just 19 yards rushing for the game. The Beavers defense gave up one long pass play in the first half but then shut down Maryland in the second half allowing only 2 yards rushing threw 3 quarters.

With the win the Beavers finished 9-4 and have won 7 of 8 games down the stretch for the second year in a row. The last two seasons the Beavers started 2-3 and finished 10-4 and 9-4 after the slow starts. > More
