Who Will Be the Next Coach? The List is Getting Shorter

4-5-2008 - Well, well. The Oregon State Men's Basketball program continues to struggle and the season has been over for several weeks now. But this time the struggle comes in trying to find a replacement for Jay John and Kevin Mouton as head coach. Of the list of possible coaches we had on our list, the Beavers have been turned down by 3 now. Mike Montgomery has taken the job at Cal. Randy Bennett is staying at St. Marys (or is he?) and Billy Grier of San Diego is staying there as well.

So now what? Is it going to be Ken Bone of Portland State or maybe Southern Mississippi's Larry Eustachy or perhaps former Saint Louis coach Brad Soderberg.

The way things appear to be going and from what is being said. Both Bone and Eustachy are interested in the job. Bobby D. wanted to make an announcement before the final four is over so if something is going to happen it is going to happen soon.

Who will be the new occupant of Legendary Gill? We will know pretty soon.
