Hello Beaver Fans,

Only 24 days left until football starts again. I for one can hardly wait. I love to watch my beavers play football.

In a few weeks, a whole new era of Beaver football will start. Dennis Erickson has left Corvallis for the bright lights of the NFL and the man who started the process is back in Corvallis. Mike Riley is back to direct the OSU football program once again and this time he has a team that is a winner and the fans expect wins and lots of them. No longer can a coach come into Corvallis and be happy with a 50% win-loss record. Wins are now the expectation, not the hope.

The Beavers are returning a lot of starters and have been picked anywhere from first to fourth in the conference.

I have been working on getting beaverfansite.com updated and ready for the football season. And now there is a new feature to the site. We have an online forum there for you, the fans, to go and post your own messages and chat about upcoming Beaver sports events. Just go to the site and click on Online Forum, register and start posting.

I will have upcoming emails with breakdowns of the season and the first game in a week or so. Also be sure to look for OneDog.com ads in the gameday issue of the Corvallis Gazette. There will be contests for great prizes all season long. Tell your friends to get signed up for the newsletter and lets have lots of fun cheering our Beavers onto victory this season.
